20 years ago, #HBO got its first #Emmy nomination, signaling a sea change in the industry that resounds to this day. In fact, cable dominated at this morning's Emmy nominations, completely shutting out the broadcast networks entirely (#GameOfThrones dominated, bucking the academy's longstanding trend of steering clear of sci fi and fantasy programming). But this morning very likely signaled a new sea change yet again, with the nominations for #Netflix's #HouseOfCards, not so much a TV show as an Internet show. I've seen the future, and it is good.
