Just now seeing this. I'm not interested in bashing #PatRobertson or #BennyHinn--goodness knows they deserve it and I do it often enough--but rather the idea that ANYONE hears god's voice. Can we finally just admit that those who think god speaks directly to them in a "still, small voice," much less an audible one, are full of crap!? Can we finally admit that those who think god speaks to them are participants in a massive case of confirmation bias--the tendency of people to favor information that confirms their beliefs, remembering the positive hits but ignoring the far greater amount of negative hits? Which is more likely here--that god changed his mind about Romney or that Robertson, and millions like him, "heard" what they wanted to hear--their own consciousness echoing in their own heads? And if you are one of those who claim that god does indeed speak to you, please tell me how you differentiate between the two--if the only way you can tell is the resolution of the event in question (a postscriptive rather than prescriptive revelation), that is not, by any intellectually honest person's definition, an accurate means of gathering knowledge.
