#GameOfThrones was truly great before now, but this season it has become something both luxuriant and feral, decadent and mercurial, intimate and epic, as finely tuned and perfectly realized a thing as I could have hoped for. The show raised an impossibly high bar of its own creation in a way I had not thought possible.
