OK, I wasn't going to say anything, but people are still commenting, several days later, about how they are "outraged," "alienated," "sickened" and "appalled" by #Google's "deliberately anti-Christian" choice to honor labor leader #CesarChavez with a special doodle on #EasterSunday, rather than "our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." They feel "snubbed" and are calling for a "boycott." Could these people be more whiny and insecure? It's a search engine, people, not a religious website. Newsflash: I know it may come as a shock to you, but not everyone believes as you do. The world doesn't revolve around your religion. Other events take place and other notable people were born on the day Easter Sunday happens to be celebrated. It was not an insult all those years Google never doodled a thing on Easter, nor is it now that they chosen to honor Chavez. The American Christian community's persecution complex is alive and well, to be sure, even if it is wholly disconnected from reality. When people start telling you that you can't worship your god on your holy day, then your paranoia will be justified. In related news:
