In the 1970s, Marina Abramovic and Ulay were both lovers and artistic collaborators. When they felt their relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, each from different ends, meeting for one last embrace in the middle, and then part, never to see each other again. At a recent MoMa retrospective, Marina performed "The Artist Is Present" as part of the show, where she shared a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Unbeknownst to her, Ulay was one of those strangers, and this is what happened. http://youtu.be/OS0Tg0IjCp4
