#LesMiserables is a film desperately in want of a director, editor and cinematographer...a film lanced with almost fatal miscasting. But it is also a film of such staggering musculature, that, on the whole, it sails past even these considerable and otherwise immobilizing restraints, shoveling out one's heart with songs and pathos unrivaled on or off Broadway.
