I've lived in small spaces all of my adult life. It is a sacrifice one makes--and, in my case, comes to love--when living in very large, very expensive cities (a 400 sqft apartment in Manhattan or even in LA costs the same as a multiple bedroom house in Colorado Springs). Which is why I find this NYC apartment awe-inspiring in both practice and theory. While something like this allows for very little of the occupant's personality (where would I put my books or wall hangings?!), it is a testament to ingenuity, form and function, and is a palpable indictment on our materialistic culture. http://youtu.be/XYV0qATsyts
