#SafetyNotGuaranteed was the sort of droll and whimsical film that moves along a pathway of comfortably familiar beats and then, when painted into an inevitable narrative corner, throws caution to the wind and embraces an ending you'd always desired but never dreamed you'd see. Deftly pirouetting from witty and absurdist humor to the genuine pathos that comes from tunneling loneliness, "Safety" generated and sustained a smile on my face for its entire running time.
