In an unusually strongly-worded critique, the #NationalResearchCouncil, an element of the esteemed #NationalAcademyOfSciences, said in a report today that #NASA is dead in the water with no where to go. While the panel does not blame NASA for these historical challenges--it rests the blame squarely on the shoulders of the #WhiteHouse, #Congress and even the American people--it said the space agency is doing little to get itself out of these celestial doldrums. Calling NASA's future ambitions "generic," the panel went so far as to say that NASA's current vision could "apply to almost any government research and development agency, omitting even the words 'aeronautics' or 'space.'"
