#ThePerksOfBeingAWallflower is a coming of age story (perhaps the best since #StandByMe) that takes place on the Island of Misfit Toys. But these toys do not feel like misfits because they all love and take care of each other far too well for that ever to be the case. Full of warm dollops of nostalgia and more than a few deeply emotional detonations, "Wallflower" is an authentic and winsome reflection of adolescence, one of the most powerful ruminations on friendship I have ever seen, and the perfect vehicle for #EmmaWatson to transition her career from her magical childhood to a adulthood of loveliness and weight.
