#LawrenceOfArabia is the most consummate, incomparable and peerless film ever made--a creature, like its hero, of unimaginable hubris and inconceivable triumph. Its historical sweep is as grand as its resplendent cinematography or its soaring score, and its story is of even more critical importance today than the day it was made. I have seen it countless times on the small screen and now twice in 70mm. It speaks to me in a primal language I am only just beginning to decipher. I can say, without hesitation or reservation, that it is my favorite film in history.
