My feelings about last night's debate were summed up well by my friend, @brettrhetoric:

1) Romney was helped, and Obama was hurt.
2) Romney's success came from his pretty dramatic move to the center. He started to go back to Gov. Romney. Not making the mistake McCain did.
3) Obama missed sooo many opportunities. So many.
4) Romney had more memorable lines: "economy tax," "you pick the losers," "you're entitled to your own plane...but not your own facts," etc. You might call those... "zingers."
5) The important audience was the pundit class, who will really "win" or "lose" the debate for someone. I mean, how many voters do you know who are familiar with Simpson-Bowles and Dodd-Frank, without explanation? Certainly not undecided voters, who are typically very uninformed.
6) Romney was assertive, aggressive, and confident. Obama was tentative, halting, and flat.
7) It was not a walk-away win for Romney, but he got back in the game. For sure.
