I was wrong and I apologize. In my post a few days ago, I too got my timeline out of order and pulled a Romney. While I still stand by the content of my post (that Americans should never apologize for the exercise of free speech), it turns out that the inspiration behind it was, in fact, misinformation accumulated in the midst of an emerging story.
