To watch #Samsara, a film described by those who made it as a non-narrative, non-verbal guided meditation, is like going to church. If you have seen its predecessor, #Baraka, you understand what that means. But this film is even better--more beautiful, sharper, more incisive, darker, the dualities even more burnished. It is the sort of film I come away from realizing that the manner in which my species lives cannot be sustained, and the manner in which I, as an individual live, needs desperately to change. I wish everyone in America would see this transcendent work of art that shows the world as it really is--in all of its splendor and repulsiveness, wonder and wrath, euphoria and despondence. My favorite film of 2012 thus far. http://youtu.be/qp967YAAdNk
