Earlier this week, the #Mars rover #Opportunity passed its 3,000th day on the red planet. Not bad for a machine designed to last only 90 days. Check out this vast panoramic composite image, combining a total of 817 photographs (taken between Dec. 21, 2011 and May 8, 2012), featuring the rover and its winter surroundings.
