To those who resist the assertion that #TheAvengers is perhaps the greatest superhero movie yet made, might I take this moment to call you on your bullshit. That which makes something like #TheDarkKnight superior is that it transcends its humble origins to become something far greater than the sum of its parts. "Avengers" hasn't the need of such lofty ambitions. It is perfectly happy to be the cleverest, funniest, most entertaining and bombastic example of its genre ever made.
