Pinkyuin and Wonhusky AU

This is originally a stupid one-liner drabble I posted in the line group for fun. Don't take any of this seriously kkkk

-----

Once upon a time, there was a round baby pinguin. He was so fat and no other penguin wanted to be his friends. They all made fun of him and called him pinkyuin. Which made this baby penguin so sad.

One day, he was wandering all by himself when he suddenly met a hungry polar bear. The bear started chasing him with a loud roar. Scared, pinkyuin turned around and ran, so fast that he didn't see where he was going and fell down a cliff.

When pinkyuin opened
his eyes, a siberian husky was standing over him.

"You're alive!" said the husky.

Pinkyuin rubbed his red face and glared. "Of course I'm alive!"

The husky grinned and wagged his tail. "What are you? Why are you so round?"

Hearing this, pinkyuin started tearing up. He jumped to his feet and wobbled away.

But the husky came after him. "Hey, you're hurt!"

Pinkyuin ignored him. He didn't want to speak with anyone who called him fat or round.

"Let me see! I can lick your wound so you'll heal faster!"

"Don't follow me!" pinkyuin said angrily. "I don't want to talk to you!"

But the husky kept following him, so pinkyuin escaped by jumping into the ocean, leaving the husky alone on the icy shore.

The husky refused to give up. Every day he waited at the same spot so he could meet pinkyuin again.

Pinkyuin, who didn't want to meet him, stubbornly avoided the spot. However, once the husky had left, he secretly came back to the shore because the husky always brought him a mound of freshly caught fishes as a peace offering.

This continued for a few weeks. Until one day, the husky failed to appear at the shore.

And also the next day.

And the next day.

And the next day.

Pinkyuin was annoyed because he no longer got his daily extra food. But he was also sad that the husky did not care about him anymore. And so he started waiting at the shore, just in case the husky decided to come back and saw him.

Pinkyuin waited for days and days. Lately he even forgot to eat. His other penguin friends started feeling sorry for treating him badly and they brought him food every day. But still pinkyuin refused to eat.

One day, he felt very hungry. There was still no sign of the husky and none of his penguin friends were coming that day.

At noon, pinkyuin finally decided to jump into the ocean and hunt for food. It was winter time. The water was cold and after swimming for a long time, pinkyuin still couldn't find even one fish to catch.

After a while, he felt tired and decided to go back to the shore, but when he tried to jump to an iceberg, he slipped down again into the water.

Again he tried to jump to the iceberg and again he slipped.

And again and again.

Pinkyuin was panicking because he was starting to become exhausted—after all, he hadn't eaten anything for a long time. He was now making terrified noises and kept trying and jumping but kept slipping back into the ocean.

And then he realised that he didn't have the energy to jump anymore. He could only float helplessly in the icy cold water.

When he was about to lose consciousness, he felt someone grabbing his neck and carrying him back to the shore.

Pinkyuin opened his eyes and discovered that it was the same husky he had been waiting for.

Pinkyuin burst into tears and threw himself at the husky, trying to hug him although his arms were too small and short to reach around the great furry neck.

The husky patiently waited until he stopped crying, patting his wet back with a big paw and licking his tears.

Later, pinkyuin found out that actually the husky had always been nearby. But he didn't dare to approach him in fear that pinkyuin would flee again, and so he forced himself only to watch from afar.

They soon became inseparable. They could often be seen strolling together or hunting together (although usually pinkyuin just sat waiting until the husky caught them something). And at night they would curl up together under a rock, a round ball of grey in the middle of black-and-white fur.

And they lived happily ever after :)
