forgiveness

On September 8th, I messaged Jenni (@/nabiichuval) with a terrible joke of a hypothetical "what if I faked non-binary and played in GC" (as a he/him identifying person). Jenni wasn't hesitant about the idea (https://imgur.com/a/f3pUzxg), and she was able to arrange a trial position (after the Caro incident) with EQ Cerise as their substitute player for their match against CLG Red, to which I agreed without ever thinking of the consequences of what we were doing. I want to emphasize that nobody else at EQ Cerise knew that I was faking my non-binary status to play in Game Changers besides Jenni.

Following our win against CLG Red 2-1 (which was overturned and EQ disqualified), a positive case of third-party software (cheating) was detected, and I was the player (dsylexic) mentioned in the tweet released by @valesports_na (https://twitter.com/valesports_na/status/1578940867527614464). I submitted a ticket and emailed riot employees that I was, in fact, NOT cheating, and my ban was placed because I queued with a friend that I didn't know was cheating for six games. Because of this, the members of EQ Cerise wanted to challenge the ruling as an improper/false ban.

I sincerely apologize to my teammates for lying about my non-binary status to play in Game Changers. I would also like to apologize to the members of CLG Red for having to put them in this situation. Finally, and most importantly, I would also like to apologize to the Game Changers community for ruining the scene's competitive integrity and infringing on the safe environment for marginalized genders to compete.

I know it's a lot to ask for forgiveness for my actions and the irreparable damage I've caused to the Game Changers community. I understand the severity of my actions now, and I'm genuinely sorry for it all. I will change for the better from this. This doesn't define who I am; I know now that I am better than this.

Once again, I want to sincerely apologize to the Game Changers community, EQ Cerise, CLG Red, and everyone I disappointed. I know my actions have affected you all, and I promise that a mistake like this won't ever happen again.
