See my multiple emails to your spotify customer support team (Phila, Anna, Mike, answering the same questions and going round in circles) before it was escalated to your "highest tier in Customer Support": Pontus and Marc from your executive team (Spotify customer Support) from 26 Nov to 13 Dec 2018.
I included all the info you requested above, video of what happens on the watch and phone.
Apparently the developers have been notified but there has been no update since Dec 2018. None of the advice/suggestions given by Spotify have so far worked. The only thing that worked was to uninstall the latest phone Spotify app, reinstall the pre-Nov 2018 version (the last version that work before the update that messed things up), and prevent automatic update of the Spotify app.
The analysis seem to be a coding error in the Spotify phone app from Nov 2018 that is causing the problem.
