Thoughts about pro rank

I think that pro rank seasons lasting 1 month instead of 2 as it was before is terrible change. When it comes to qualifying for open your 2 months ladder performance is still what matters.
But now instead of having time to work on your mmr for 2 months, your mmr gets a reset after the first month and you have to start over again. In consequence, it almost doubled the number of games you are required to play to qualify for open (also increased for top 100 finish).
You have to climb 4 factions from 2400 to 2600 AGAIN after a reset until you get to 2600+ and start working on your peak mmr scores that are gonna be relevant in terms of qualifying to open.
Every good enough player will be able to get that 2600 again but that may take few hundred games and is just huge waste of time. Some people on the ladder right now have around 500 games and they don't have 4x 2600 scores yet. This means they will have to repeat a similar amount of games to get to 2600 scores again that they otherwise wouldn't have to without reset.
It's just grind for the sake of it. Last season I qualified for open with 732 games and other seasons with little over 1000 games. Now it should be impossible without at least 1200-1400 games and that's just the absolute minimum. Most people are propably gonna have 2000+ games. Right now this reminds me of the old hearthstone ladder but worse.
In hs you had to climb back to legend every month but it didn't take you a few hundred games to do so.

It's easy to see the reasoning behind this change. Now that 2 ladders got merged into 1 cdpr probably thought that 2 month seasons might feel to long for most players. Also, each month has a theme around it. 1-month seasons also allows cdpr to do more frequent updates without interrupting currently lasting season. Personally, I don't mind balance updates in the middle of the season. I hope that cdpr will consider going back to 2-month pro ladder seasons because as it is now required time commitment got close to double of that it was before.
