About Swiss Overwatch and how to become part of the community!

Dear Community!

This last year the Swiss Overwatch Scene has suffered great loss in participant- and teamnumbers, whether it is in the SESL or at LAN-Parties. That's a development I personally am sad to see and I assume many people share that thought.

Therefore I write this message and encourage people that are interested in playing in a team, a league or attend a LAN-Party to make that step! You want to know how to get there or become part of a community or an organisation but don't know how? Reach out to people that know. Put a message on the Overwatch Switzerland Discord (OWWC) for example, and I'm sure you will get a response. I would love to see Eevents blow up like last years edition in St.Gallen; I would also like to see 24 teams or more in the SESL again.

The structure/network of the Swiss esports scene is not only built and kept responsible by clubs, organizations and event-/tournament organizers. Everyone contribute in this even if you just recently decided to come into the esports scene and want to go big one time - make your voice heard. It is especially in your interest to have the scene as big as possible!

Overwatch is a great game and allows for a great community; reaching such a big followerbase with just one team attending Worldcup was amazing, but I would really love to keep some of this rather than have it just float away.

Current Teams looking for players:
- Turban Turtles (@OddyFPS)
- Unity Athletes (@BeFroz3n)
- Acid.Piranha (@AcidGaming_CH)
- New Team (@DNA66295)

The counts lately are slowly crumbling down, so it's time to turn that around again. As you know: The world could always use more heroes!
