What's been going with me.
Hey guys so I don't want to make this too long so I'll get to the main points. This all began after EVO. I didn't attend but I was going to Smash Con 2018 the week after. A few days before Smash Con, I got a call from my best friend in the morning saying that his older past away. I felt cold that whole day because I knew him for over 20 years. He was one the guys that showed me competitive Smash back in 2006. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have competed. Heck, you guys wouldn't know me. I used to play everything with him. Smash, Sonic, Halo, Mario Kart, Star Fox etc. I broke down that day, confused and angry at the world. I went into Smash Con playing for him. I did great placing 17th and doing work there (you know my story). After Smash Con, I didn't have the drive I had in the beginning to keep playing. My motivation was almost gone and i didn't practice at all. I was reflecting on life and taking care of other things. Every other event after it was if people wanted me to go. People wanted me to go to Shine, so I went there. People wanted me to go to SCR and Retro Arena so I went there. And locals like Xeno and Encore for example so I went. My focus wasn't on the game pretty much after Smash Con. Life can snatch your feelings away when you least expect it which sucks.
So for the rest of Smash 4's life, I won't be competing anymore. Looking at everything, I've done more then I wanted to accomplish which I'm proud of. I have a couple of projects to work on before Smash 4 ends. I hope everyone has been enjoying my latest videos on YouTube. I'll be back in competition when Ultimate comes out.
