Taking a break from PUBG

Howdy,

I have been playing PUBG pretty much non stop since it came out. From streaming it 7 days a week in the beginning few months and then moving to competitive where between training, scrims and matches it became a 5 night per week job. On top of this there is a lot more time outside the game doing strats, vod reviews, managing a team etc. Its been a lot of time put into this game. But I don't regret it, I have met so many amazing people along the way and have had some awesome experiences too.

I remember how much I loved the game at the beginning in Early access. But, over the past few months I have watched the game continually decline. Every patch seems to make the game a little bit worse as opposed to improving it. We are almost a year into competitive pubg and people are still dying to ridiculous bugs. Driving into invisible textures, getting stuck on vehicles, trees not rendering properly and the netcode and performance seems to be progressively getting worse. As much as I love the competitive environment and my team mates, over the last week or so a realisation has dawned on me.

I don't think I actually like PUBG anymore.

The next logical question was am I being fair to my teammates by taking up a core spot in the squad considering that? The answer quite simply was no, so I have made the decision to take a break from competitive PUBG and open up that spot for someone who still has a passion for the game and can give 110%.

I will still be a part of Team Immunity, the org has been amazing to us and I will continue to do what I can to support it and the team. I will still be around as a sub if we have a shortfall and I will dare say I will still be involved behind the scenes as I want to the team to be successful and for everyone's hard work to be rewarded.

On a positive note, I am looking forward to being able to focus on my stream again and possibly get back into some casting. Both things which had to make way for a full time competitive schedule.

Well that's enough about me, lets remember the most important thing of all is in 8 days the Chiefs will be in Berlin representing OCE at PGi. This is a huge moment for the boys as well as OCE PUBG.

Lets make sure they know we are all behind them and will be watching them kick ass!

GL Fellas!
