Where have the videos gone???? Let me tell you
Hello everyone,
So, it's been a few months since I've made a video. Where did I go? What have I been doing? well, let's break it down now so you're in the loop.
In the beginning of January, I started looking towards purchasing a house. Much of that month was spent assembling documents, writing requests for various information, digging through papers, securing money, etc. Fun times I assure you. In the beginning of February, we found one we liked and the sale went through, so my girlfriend and I spent the month moving stuff from our old house to the new, unpacking stuff once we got it here, the usual BS that happens when you move. And since I lived at my old (rented) place for almost a decade, there was a lot of accumulated crap and grime to move and clean before I could be done with it. That saga, as of a couple of weekends ago, is done, and we're all moved in and settled now.
In addition to that, March 23-25 was the weekend of "The Big Deal 2: Electric Boogaloo," a large Dallas-based rhythm game tournament in which I competed in DDR. I spent the past few months utilizing my free time to improve my game and learn more songs and wound up coming in 3rd place out of 80 competitors, which was cool. I also met some people who watched my videos, so if you're reading this, it was great to meet you!
And throughout all of this, I've been working my full time and part time jobs, spending time with the family, and generally living life. It doesn't lend a lot of time for making videos lately.
There's also the small problem of being able to find something interesting to make a video on in the first place. I have a list of some stuff to look at, but when I do, it either doesn't work, can't be found, or works partially but isn't interesting enough for a full fledged video. As these videos continue, the remaining pool of old malware that'd be interesting to see from a video perspective wanes. Will I ever run out of content to make videos? Maybe. Some days it feels like I'm already there, but something eventually turns up and I make a video on it.
I have some ideas for loosely related video topics as well - antivirus reviews, old virus magazine stuff, stuff like that. If you'd be interested in it (and I can find the time to make it), let me know.
