Departure of Misfits VG
Hello,
My name is Alex “W7NGS” Zendejas, and I was the player manager for Misfits Gaming in Vainglory. Unfortunately, these last few weeks we have seen many of the biggest organizations in Vainglory announce their departure, and today, I bring you one more. Effective immediately, Misfits Gaming will no longer be affiliated with Vainglory.
I am very proud to announce however that our roster will continue to compete in the NACL, VIS, and hopefully the VPL under our original name ‘Tilt Rehab’. Everyone is maintaining a positive outlook on the team and we will not let our hard work go to waste.
I will remain under contract with the Misfits Gaming organization due to my role in the organization as it continues to expand into other mobile esport titles. Misfits have great goals for Mobile Esports this year and next, and it is a shame that we cannot continue on in Vainglory.
I don’t want to leave the community hanging. I know that there are a lot of people scratching their heads wondering why so many organizations are pulling out, (since no one is really explaining why) and what this means for the future of the game. I will be making a YouTube video or a podcast (~1hr in length) on my day-off this week to talk more about my thoughts on everything.
I would like to thank all of the Misfits Vainglory supporters, both new but especially the old. You guys are truly what made all of this effort worth it. We are really sad that we couldn’t give you back the VPL slot as Misfits, but the team will continue to grow and dominate as the leagues start up again.
And of course a thank you to Misfits Gaming and SEMC for giving the team a reason to come together in the first place. This group of boys we have right here isn’t just another team, I have never thought that and never will. They are absolutely very special, and it was an honor to work with them through this company.
The team is uncontracted at this point, with multiple top 4 VIS Challenger finishes. If any organizations are interested in learning more about the team or acquiring them, my DMs are always open.
