Just a few thoughts now that Affiliation is a real thing (HYPE).
When I first started streaming, I had no idea what was what. I didn't know what Affiliation was, I didn't know what Partnership meant, all I wanted to do was play games and hang out with people.
Now that I've reached this point, i kinda feel that hasn't changed. I still just want to play games. But streaming has been life-changing for me. It's opened my eyes to a whole new world and community that I never knew existed, and I am ever grateful for it.
Now, with affiliation, comes revenue. I'm in a privileged position where I can be relatively financially independent. But many people aren't.
So here's my plan: for every Subscription, Donation, Bit and any other money that comes in to my stream, I will match it, and donate the entire amount away (I have an organisation in mind). It's the least I can do, just by continuing to do what I love.
Please don't feel like you need to donate or Subscribe or Bit or anything. But know that if you do, I will make sure it goes to a good cause!
