Parting ways with @AthleticoES

With what has been the hardest decision I have had to face in my esports career so far. I have decided to part ways with Athletico Esports and step down as the creative director. With that being said I would like to show my respect in appreciating and thanking the people I call family.

Over the 2 years a part of the organisation, the Athletico journey will be one I will always remember. From launching the first ever logo with Peety and Sheep to spending countless nights watching and cheering for our initial CS:GO team. Jay, Jesse, Bubzie, Dylan, Trav, Sonic and Erk, I along with the rest of the brand am incredibly grateful for you guys putting Athletico on the map and for all of the good times and memories shared at events.

With what was once just a CS:GO team. Shortly after we had teams for Rocket League, Rainbow Six, Overwatch, League of Legends, Call of Duty, PUBG and of course the streamers. Words cannot describe how impressed I was watching all excel in your respected areas and the experiences I’ve had meeting almost all of you with the good times we shared either online or in person. I will never forget cheering for the Rocket League team at PAX. Visiting Ubisoft at the R6 LAN in Sydney and getting to really know our team and their game. Having the most fun I can remember at IEM with the streamers and cs boys. Extremesland with some of the best blokes I know in the cs scene. And I will never forget travelling to the other side of the world with some of the most motivated and talented PUBG players I have ever seen.

To the staff, the people that make Athletico what it is. (Miggie, Kirsty, Josh along with Steph, Endr, Liam & Orin) words cannot describe how impressed and grateful I am for your dedication and commitment to the brand. To every one of you past and present, it was an honour working alongside with you and I enjoyed every bit of it. There are too many to list after the time I’ve been a part of Athletico, however there a few people I want to personally thank.

Peety - I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity that you have given me to put my work out to the world and have it blow up to be known as a part of Australia’s best organisations. Being a motivator and mentor but also as a friend and a brother of the blue and grey. Will always be a pleasure to work with you in the future.

Sean - We’ve been through it all mate, it’s been an awesome ride through the different events and journeys with had. Thank you for the opportunity to explore the world of the TC production and it’s wonders of being epic but also stressful in 2 day turn arounds. But mainly, your contribution and efforts in Athletico don’t go unrecognised. When the time came and you needed to step up and you did, you hit it with a home run. Proud of you mate.

Richie - You know exactly what I’m going to say. You’re the lethal weapon at everything that you do and such a mad dog. I can’t thank you enough for everything that you’ve done and the sacrifices you’ve made to make my time in ath one to remember. You and I aren’t done yet though so let’s continue to kick ass.

Marco - So proud of you mate, from coming into Athletico dedicating 110% to league to then stepping up your game as the GM. You’ve come so far and I can’t wait to see what you can do! Always down for a good weights session with you haha.

From where Athletico started to where it is today, I can’t believe the journey we’ve had and how far everything has come. I will always be looking out to see where the organisation will go.

As for my future… Coming soon.

Best wishes everyone,
You are all family,

TJ
