Statement regarding today’s @StreamMe PUBG Invitational EU matches

During tonight's EU event we encountered some serious technical difficulties and ended up streaming part of the last game without a delay. This decision was made due to the fact that we had already had some technical issues during earlier rounds and had already restarted the stream leaving 8 minutes without a broadcast - we wanted to avoid this occurring again.

For the last game, we prioritized the viewer experience as we wanted to wrap up the stream on a positive note. Because of this we did not effectively communicate the decision that the round will not be counted to the players - meaning that many teams played out the round as normal. This was a serious mistake on our behalf and it is one that we will most certainly learn from.

We want this tournament to remain as fair as possible - and given that the competitive integrity of the round was compromised due to the lack of stream delay, we feel that voiding the final round scores is the fairest solution. Today’s 4th round will be replayed as a 5th round in Week 3 of the Invitational on the 30th of March.

At Auzom we take pride in trying to create the best playing experience possible, and we acknowledge that we have categorically failed to achieve that today. We are already reviewing our decisions and actions that led to this scenario and will be implementing measures to make sure that an error of this magnitude does not occur again.

As a final note we would like to express our apologies to the team over at Stream.Me, as they worked tirelessly to resolve the issues encountered in last week’s EU games only to have today’s matches tainted by production difficulties & administrative errors on our part.

We sincerely apologise for today’s events and hope that you will continue to support us in helping the PUBG esports scene grow and improve.
