Announcing Australasian Pro League On FACEIT

Hey everyone,

I’m James “JAMES” Quinn and for those who don’t know me, I’ve been playing CSGO at a professional level for a few years now, spending most of my time at Team Immunity, and currently playing for Dark Sided.

I have been playing CS for quite a while and I have been growing in this community which has always been a passion of mine. I’ve tried to be really proactive to support the OCE scene regardless of all the limitations we have, given our remote geographic location, compared the rest of the CS global circuit.

So today we would like to rely on our community spirit and present a project that we hope can have a positive long term impact in the development of our scene.

------------------------------------

## How we got idea for this project

In the past few weeks we noticed that many organizers and CSGO players have started local circuits for their local communities by using HUBS on FACEIT, with the aim to offer a better PUG experience within a closed and moderated environment.

So I contacted Iain “Snyper” Turner and we together decided to start a venture together and build something for the AUS community. He is, in my opinion, one of the greatest ambassadors of the Australian community out there, and together, we hope to push Oceania CSGO scene to further heights, and hopefully give a taste of what ‘competition’ really means.

Complementing that, we also have an amazingly dedicated admin team that have previously been involved in the organization of events, with the necessary experience to make sure that the experience will be as smooth as possible!

## The project name and structure

The project will go by the name of [Instafrag](https://faceit.com/en/organizers/e180740b-afb9-4834-8be8-e2b5bf070ac0/InstaFrag), and our first mission is providing a circuit of leagues where players of every skill level can play and enjoy quality competitive matches, improve and feel closer to a community instead of playing with random players over and over.

The circuit is made by 3 divisions, where each one is hosted in its own HUB on FACEIT. Every match played in our HUB will affect the elo and the skill level of the players which will have the possibility to join dynamically different leagues based on their current skill level.

## What can you expect after subscribing to our leagues?

We believe that having balanced games is an extremely important factor that leads to having a good experience while playing, therefore we’ve put a lot of thought into this, and hopefully we are going to be able to improve it based on your feedback!

**In each HUB we want to offer the same format:**

* A fair and true competitive experience where players are allowed to queue as SOLO only and when a game will be found, two players from the player pool will be selected as captains, and will
form their team by picking from the rest of the player pool.

* A controlled environment, followed by dedicated admins. They will be there to make sure that the rules are being enforced, will keep the throwers, trolls and the toxic players away, and take action against anyone that will have an inappropriate behaviour in the games

* Enforced use of the Anti-Cheat to make sure that the integrity of the competitive environment is not compromised

--------------------------------------
## The Pro division
On top of the 3 Open Divisions we will have the Australasian Pro League, which will be an invite-only division, where we aim to get the most talented players in Oceania. Players who are not directly invited into APL can qualify from Division 2, which will send the top 3 players directly into the Pro League on a monthly basis

Last, but not least, we will be putting in a minimum of 2000$ in prizes for each monthly season. Why minimum? Well, we plan to increase the prize pool using the revenue from all the players that are supporting the project. We want to dissolve the existence of the ‘glass ceilings’ in the community's perception, and let it grow to its full potential, because in the end, this is a project made by the players, for the players.

We believe it’s time the community takes the initiative in their own hands, and we will do all that is in our power to help it thrive!

Thank you.
