PeetyG Resigns as Athletico Director of Esports
Dear Friends, Family, Fans Players and all community members.
It is with great sense of accomplishment that I wish to announce my future departure from the ownership group of Athletico. I will continue to work with the organisation in the short term to ensure the hand over process is as seamless as possible for the players and staff. I will be pursuing other Esports related professional avenues after the handover process is complete.
Effective immediately - Sean Carlson will immediately take over the role as Director of Esports at Athletico and moving forward I couldn't imagine a more capable and dedicated replacement.
At this time I believe that it is the organisations best interests that this decision be made to ensure Athletico is in the best possible position moving forward to continue to compete with the rapid investment into the Esports industry. It is the number one priority that the players and staff that represent Athletico, who put so much time and energy into developing their own careers in Esports have a clear and distinct path forward with the support and guidance they require as the Esports landscape continues to expand.`
The mantra of the organisation has always been that the team is bigger than any one individual and we make decisions and plays for the name on the front of the jersey and not the back.
I believe this decision is being made at the correct time and will set the foundations for Athletico to continue to prosper and have access to the best players from Australia and around the world.
Thankyou to all the players, staff and fans - past and present that helped me in my endeavor along the way. Each and everyone of you contributed to the success of the organisation and for that I will always be grateful.
I am intensely proud to have lead a team and family that achieved above and beyond my wildest expectations and without my group of dedicated players and staff, the level of success we achieves simply would not be possible.
To the OG's - InfrequeNt Sonic Wizard ChucH Liazz Kyoto - First ballard Hall of Fame Athletico cornerstone franchise players. The respect I have for each and everyone of these guys is insane because of the level of pride and intensity they played with. You guys set the stage for everyone to fear the Athletico comeback - something which has still managed to stand the test of time and will forever be attached to your time with the club.
To my original dynamic duo - Sheep & TJ - We won 5 ESL championships in 12 months over 3 game titles. I'll be slapping your chairs for the rest of your lives boys. We dreamed big each and every night and without both of your guidance in so many ways from the beginning - Athletico isn’t what it is today.
So my 2018 looks new, exciting and if I never hear the words "You can't say that, you're an owner" again - it will be far too soon.
