My announcement about the Six Invitational and the future...

Thank you for taking the time to read this;

I would like to start off by saying that I will not be commentating for Rainbow 6’s Six Invitational taking place next month. While I have looked forward to casting for this event since early 2017, I will unfortunately not be attending the Montreal-based LAN. I received a 3-sentence email from ESL late last month stating that a joint decision was reached between ESL and Ubisoft to not include my services in their talent lineup for February’s event.

Although I do not agree with their decision, I do respect their choice to use other talent as they deem fit.

With this new direction ESL and Ubisoft have decided to pursue, I would also like to state that I will not be casting any Pro League seasons for Year 3 as I do not have the luxury of being jobless and waiting until March to hopefully re-engage in contract negotiations.

As I stated earlier, I have been looking forward to casting the Six Invitational for nearly a year and was gleaming at the opportunity to continue the honor of being one of the primary casters for the seasonal Pro Leagues. Regrettably, the decision was not up to me and as such I must lookout for myself by making the decision to find more consistent and reliable work outside of esports commentary.

I have worked for ESL, casting Rainbow 6: Siege, since August 2016 and it upsets me to say that it has come to an unexpectedly abrupt ending. Although I would much rather continue casting this amazing game, I do want to thank Ubisoft and ESL for allowing me the opportunity to cast four entire Pro League seasons, attend six LAN events, and assist in developing this game’s competitive scene to new heights.

I hope my philosophies of always being a consistently positive and energetic voice for Pro League reign on as this chapter of my career comes to a close. I still offer my services to any company for commentary purposes on short-term events.

In closing, I want to thank all of you - the community members and dedicated siege enthusiasts - for all of your support. I feel as though without your support, feedback, and candidness I would not have made it this far. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Sean Rosenbaum
