Last Minute Change/New Orleans situation.
After my Next Threat team disbanded and all went different ways, I was approached by Fero, Blazt & Decemate to team. I thought this would be a great opportunity for myself and the three younger players with this being their first year competing. I heard how these players were a little inexperienced and had issues on previous teams, but I was confident I would be able to get through to them and perform well since I've played with these players before.
Before I officially joined these players, I was hit up by a few different players/teams when I announced I was Free Agent. I respectfully told them that I had faith in my new team and I just wasn't interested at all. I knew some players would try doing this since the system currently is based off pro points and making the league which is what you have to do if you want to make it. But winning has always been my goal at heart and not just leaving for a paycheck/less skilled team. I enjoyed this team because I got best of both worlds, players who were great friends and wanted to win just like myself.
Obviously with how things have been going with the whole E6 org situation (player contract disputes/being held to their contract) they were in a tough spot. With them losing two more players after Montreal, they needed a solution. This is the time period when our team broke up leaving Censor to join their team finding one more player who had pro points. Everyone was locked with their teams at this time and the only thing left for them to do was to poach players hoping they would sketch. Doug tried offering me a spot again and this where I told him I am not leaving my team no matter what he offered. After hearing that, he just went down the line player by player on my team promising them crazy amounts of stuff. My teammates also declined it at the same time as me until last night where Blazt simply just left due to frustrations as a player.
The only thing that blows my mind is how everyone kept their word and the day of Pool Play lock, he pulled that on us. I personally booked his flight a few days ago out of pocket knowing the position we were in and how it would all payoff after New Orleans just for him to not care about his other 3 teammates one bit.
Fero, Decemate, & I still will be teaming for New Orleans, we just will need another player now. The event may be in two weeks, but i've played through open bracket many of times and have faith in our team. Appreciate all the support and hope we pull something amazing off at NOLA.
