What International fans need to know about BMB
It feels pointless to argue at this point as she has decided to shut down already, but I am writing this because as a person who has been in the fandom for a long while and understands Korean, I believe that foreigner fans have the very right to face how malicious BMB has been to not only the fandom but also to the members.
A couple screenshots of BMB’s personal account broke out among Korean fans a few weeks ago, which eventually led the majority of Korean fans (except DC Irene and Baetokkicom that consequently have the same stance as BMB) to boycott all of BMB’s photos and products.
I may not be a professional translator, but I will try to remain unbiased and provide an exact translation of her tweets. These conversations between her and her friend are from Red Flavor era. Please see the pictures I added.
Her friendship with her akgae friend and participation in the malicious conversation reflects that she is nothing but a like-minded akgae. Evidently an admission of guilt.
*Akgae fans refer to those fans who only like one member of the group and strongly dislike the other members to the extent of bashing them for the sake of praising their bias. These sorts of fans are notorious within the groups’ respective fandoms for causing major conflicts.
Moreoever, her comment on the picture taken with Thai fans shows how, even though the foreigner fans have given both her and Irene so much support, BMB does not appreciate them in any way. Her comment instead encourages discrimination with a racist mindset.
For someone who claims to love Irene so much, BMB has time after time made not only Irene uncomfortable with her behavior, but also has attacked, insulted, and put off many of other RV fans. I completely understand she is a human too and I am not writing to encourage anyone to publicly hate or harass anyone, but I also believe she should not be worshiped just because she takes pretty pictures. Anyone who can understand her history of "mistakes," which by far supersedes what I have written here, would understand that BMB is not the fansite representative we wish for our fandom. That is also why her previous offenses have continuously led up to her not be accepted by the Korean fans.
