The REAL reason why your favorite AniTuber didn’t make it into AniTube Rewind

I forgot.

No seriously. This was a stupid video idea I got watching other people’s own personal YouTube rewinds, and I thought it’d be a fun idea to apply that to the AniTube community which behind the scenes, really came together this year more than ever before (it’s not perfect but hell, it is MUCH better.) I went in with the mind set of making a stupid video I could share with my new friends I made this year and nothing else.

I realized after that I left a few people out, some big some small and some who I’m actually a fan of (sorry Melonpan) and there is no reason other than they just down right slipped my mind. I am not an official AniTube authority, I am one guy in the community (and one more editor) so of course MY rewind would be biased towards friends I have made and people I have interacted with this last year because honestly, I don’t watch everyone who makes Anime content on YouTube. NOBODY does because there are WAY too many people doing anime content on YT right now to keep track of so no shit the people I am most likely going to include is people I interacted with or who really made a stir within the community.

There’s no way to fairly represent everyone AND make an entertaining video (considering most Anitubers are disembodied voices over anime clips which is hard to represent) and if you think otherwise I dare you to wade through hundreds of hours, of dozens of people’s content to find a suitable 2 second clip to put in a 4 minute video. I encourage people to make their own AniTuber rewind, I actually was very surprised I was the first one to do so as I thought other people would have the same idea.

This was always my rewind and I never claimed it was anything BUT my rewind and I don’t know why this is being held to a different standard to the abundance of other peoples “personal” YT rewind considering all of those videos are named in the same way.

What I don’t appreciate however, is the false narrative being passed around 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚. This notion is actually ridiculous if you think about it 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝. How does not including a 2 frame clip of ANYONE equate to a personal attack towards an individual or any other grander message. Any theory you've heard about why I didn't highlight "X" community or why I included "X" but not "X" person is coming from baseless assumptions with absolutely no evidence to back it up.

No, this post isn’t entirely about Lost Pause (I’ve seen a few content creators unhappy with the video), but his passive-aggressive video certainly did tip things over the edge to the point where I have to clarify things which to me, should have been very obvious. Noble if you are reading this I am disappointed that something like this bothered you enough to make a public issue about it, on your main channel no less, and I certainly don’t appreciate the notion that I did it for views and attention or that it was a personal middle finger to you.

I am not here to make any statement, I’m not here to start drama, I’m here to make stupid videos that entertain people, like I always have, and I can't believe I actually have to clarify that. The target audience for all my videos HAS always and WILL always be myself and my friends and that will never change, I am just lucky enough that a wide audience happens to ALSO enjoy these videos. This video was meant to be my own personal celebration and I am saddened that it would be taken as any other way.

I will however still be getting drunk and having a laugh about the video with friends when I see them like I originally wanted.
