Sen Pi Statement

The Sen Pi will be shipping without software. We spoke to the Libretro team and do not want to fight with them nor do we want to harm them/demoralize them, etc. We will be removing the software as soon as we figure out the logistics of getting the stuff from the warehouse or getting someone to go to the warehouse to remove software from the units. DIY for now! We will do a tutorial soon.

We have dropped the prices because the units will now be DIY (we are eating the labor fees we paid for the OS install). Note: We will actively be uninstalling the software, some units may have already shipped.

I do think it is funny/ironic that we are in a dispute over emulation software, but we do not want to abuse the community or the team. We want them to keep creating awesome software and we want to do what we can to help them. We have also offered to give them our profits from these sales.

We still think it would be a good idea to create a device with an OS pre-installed. There are several crappy emulation boxes for sale, but we wanted to create one with very good software so even those who are not able to DIY, can enjoy it. I feel like reaching a broader audience would be good for everyone as it would bring in some new initiates to the RetroArch world. Sometimes DIY is intimidating and I don't want to be so exclusive or elite. Plus, I enjoy helping people who have never tinkered get started 'down the path'. We will explore options. For now, this unit is DIY.
