My side of the story

I couldn't post this earlier in respect to some of our evidence involving other team's scrims.

I want to shed light on the situation that just occurred, but from the rest of A Mighty Storm's perspective. There's a lot to go over, so I'll just begin by sharing screenshots/evidence leading to today:

This is when we first talked to Cooper, it's pretty self-explanatory in regards to what was going on. We had tried talking to Guy a couple times before this, but when we brought it up just a little he would just yell at us. The second time we tried talking to him, it sounded like he stood up and threw something while raging. Because of this, we felt the warning Cooper mentioned wouldn't do much, and that if anything it would just push him to do what he did yesterday; kick us all. Which I mentioned we thought he was capable of in that conversation with Cooper.

So we decided to record our next set of scrims, which we later used as evidence for Cooper:

In this clip you can see him dash into 3 people in mid at 4:15 when no one else was around, and this is his response to it: https://vid.me/OdoUJ
This is an example of him showing a lack of motivation, and being complacent. He clearly made a mistake by dashing into 3 people in mid, and never admitted to it. Instead he looked for excuses and refused to look back at the vod. And the way he expresses himself is just toxic, and that enables a really crappy team environment, which hinders a teams performance and learning capability.

Here he doesn't listen to the call. He walks in 1v4 alone and gets punished, and then flames the rest of the team.

And here he's just throwing a tantrum during a team fight.

I talked to some more experienced players about dealing with a toxic team environment, and they advised I set up a team meeting and we try and go over his problems, so I did, except I tried to keep it a bit more positive and less of us just targetting him. Mainly because in the past he had made jokes about kicking us all, so we felt threatened.

We had the meeting, Guy showed up like 15 minutes late and was pretty much dead silent until everyone had said what they had to say about everyone. Though after the meeting, we could all tell a slight improvement just by the tone of his voice after the meeting. Unfortunately, we couldn't scrim until our next SPL game vs Noble because a lot of teams cancelled on us last minute.

Because of this, don't have more clips to show. But if you ask anyone who had sat in our scrims before this point,
(@avgahmed_ ) (@Sh3yka), they will tell you the same thing the 4 of us had been discussing for a while: That his attitude and gameplay were the biggest factor in why we were losing.

After all of the above, we tried searching for a sponsor to have more leeway when we talk to Guy about his issues. Without a sponsor, he's captain and can kick us all if he feels threatened, whereas with a sponsor, the organization decides what's best for the team. We talked to the org (@eRa_Eternity) and explained our situation. We told them we would talk to Guy once more, this time with something to hold against him (his SPL spot).

Everyone was on board with the org, except Guy. I received these DMS from him:

The day after this, we had scrims scheduled vs Sam4soccer2's team @7PM EST. He cancelled and told us this:

We supported him and tried to be positive, only to find out during scrim time that he was scrimming with Sam's team (the team we were supposed to scrim against)

Uzzy then confronted Guy about it after scrims, and he lied again:

I talked to some players in the loop of all this, and they confirmed this was happening, and that Guy actually asked Sam4soccer2's team if they wanted our spots after week 1 SPL (our set vs Trifecta). Sam's team turned him down because they wanted to keep Genocide and move Guy to sub/coach. Guy turned them down and forced them to kick Genocide days later.

Hearing all of this, I emailed two people from Hirez seeking help:

We also all 4 DM'd Cooper asking if we could kick him. He asked for all the evidence we had against him, which most of it is all in this Twitlonger.

Later that day (yesterday) we see this:

https://gyazo.com/d966f7643faf0e2372cfb9ee58ad86cf
If you look at the time stamps of those tweets, he tweeted the new roster as he informed us in the group DMS after lying to us for the past week about it. Instead of just maning up and telling us that he was considering replacing us, he lied about family issues and continued to cover up his tracks. This goes to show the lack of character he had because he wouldn't tell his team until the roster change was final.

And the official ruling was: https://twitter.com/HiRezCooper/status/910352197543763968

I talked to Guy later that night when he hit me with this:
https://gyazo.com/63efc660252a7bdd3298642a59c607d3

We talked a little after that, and it was just back and forth, there was no way he would ever admit to him being in the wrong. But this can just sum up both arguments:
https://gyazo.com/c9a7f33b95f1b2b64f60f1c0aa4d5b12
While I let my emotions get to me at the time, the issue wasn't just that the same things were happening. But the fact that Guy wouldn't put in the time after scrims to go over vods and rewatch plays he thought he was right in, but didn't have all the information; he just made assumptions. I set up vod review after our set vs Noble, Guy didn't show up for the first game, and he queued a ranked game while we watched the second game. On top of this, we weren't a team for even a month. Wolp joined the night before relegations and Akillathehun joined the night before our set vs Trifecta, and Guy offered everyone's team spots to Sam4soccer2's team after that first set.

At the end of the day, unfortunately because we left him to be captain he had the power to do this. Though I do disagree that this shouldn't be a possible thing, the changes in Season 5 will prevent this from ever happening again.
