What happened the last few weeks ?
So a lot of people saw my twitter feed and were wondering what are the big news coming up?
I'm sad to announce that these big news turned into bad news for me and in general.
- What happened?
While I was playing TF2 wth SVIFT before i61 I started playing Paladins more and more.
I enjoyed the game and I wanted to improve at it, so I joined a team at the same time I was playing for SVIFT.
Luckily for me SVIFT didn't practice a lot or as much as we should have, so I could focus more time onto Paladins and get better in it faster.
Most of my followers probably don't follow the top scene, but recently HiRez made a deal with WESA so the organisations of WESA such as mousesports, NaVi, Splyce, etc would sign top teams.
And I was luckily part of one of those teams that will be signed by one of those orgs.
I still have my last month of civil service - that's what you have to do as an Austrian, so unfortunately I couldn't commit too much time to playing Paladins and practicing for i61
But after the news that we will get signed by a WESA org, I changed my plan for the next year of my life to be able to fully commit to Paladins.
Sadly, a few days ago I've been kicked from the team because the team was not happy with how fast I've been improving,, they put a lot of risk into hoping I will improve faster, so they replaced me a few days before the team will be signed.
You don't even know how awful of a feeling it is to be so close to the dream of actually getting a financial reward for putting a lot of time into a game, just to get it ripped away.
After thinking about it, I respect their decision and wish them luck in the future.
- So what now?
I actually don't know yet, there are a lot of ideas swirling around in my head and I'm not sure which one to pursue.
I'm hoping that it will become clearer to me what I want to do in the near future, for now I know that after this month I will be free every evening and that I don't want to give up on my dream of getting to the top of a game and earning money with what I love.
- What does that mean for TF2? Are you quitting?
As said, I'm not sure yet
Even if I quit this game, I will still be around in this amazing community, which has given me nothing but love and new friends.
You might see me playing, you might not, but I hope you will respect my decision at the end.
