PUBG Invitational at Gamescom

This event had its ups and downs, and from a planning perspective, Sammie and I have ALOT to improve on.

We will go back to the office (I'll be going back to the Korea office for a month soon) after this so that we can learn and improve from this event. But above all, we hope that YOU all enjoyed the event, and it was our absolute honor and pleasure to host you all at Gamescom. We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your time there and we are humbled every day by how many of you enjoy our game. In the coming future we will be improving everything from competitive rules, to gameplay and performance, and event logistics.

For how many people loved our event, we promise that the best moments of this event will be the worst of the future events. The only direction we can go is up and we're committed to giving you guys the perfect events, so that we can share our love for PUBG together as one big community.

I won't go into super detail about every little thing from an event perspective, but I will say that you guys (the PUBG Community) are one of the most amazing group of people I've ever met and interacted with.

Since the Counter-Strike days, I've been extremely competitive and I've seen every type of gamer at 100+ LAN events from the shy introvert, to the online bully who comes to the event and doesn't say a word. That being said, it was a huge breath of fresh air to see EVERY single one of you, be the same funny, nice, kind people, in person. No one argued with each other, we saw other orgs all drinking, socializing, and laughing with each other, and every person was a hugger and smiled when greeted. I truly am amazed by our community and how understanding you all are, as well as how fun everyone is to be around.

We have a long way to go and while we may not be "esports" ready yet, that wont stop us from listening to community feedback, learning from each event, and continuing to give back to everyone that loves our game as much as we do.

Sammie and I had 16-18+ hour work days for a solid 3+ weeks leading to gamescom (Sammie did more than a few over-night work sessions with no sleep), but it was truly worth every single minute to see everyone laughing and having a good time playing our game.

Thank you for everything, and cheers to the future <3

PS. I was a greedy loot goblin and signed the Level 3 helmet right on the frame, so if any of you have pictures from the after-party, tag me, because I'm in all of them xD
