Maria Peters: The Science of Cringe #edfringe review #Edinburgh
A wonderfully thought out and brilliantly structured show, but it still feels a little messy in places. This is a show all about cringe and the four stages thereof.
It's a nice concept that includes acting out and even singing the audience's most cringey moments.
We get many examples of amusing cringe throughout this show but the most impressive part was the ending; rather touching and poinient, it tackles the feelings that cringe has on us and others. It played with the emotions but for too short a time.
With a helping hand and a little polishing up, this show could definitely be something special.
