LG Evil & OWL
Luminosity has always been open to any and all offers from other teams competing in Overwatch League or even Contenders. We have never put any restrictions on the players ability to entertain such offers. When we receive an offer, we bring it directly to the players. We were one of the original organizations to enter Overwatch, and have supported our players and the game since. We continue to support our current team LG Evil. We have done, and are doing everything we can to help the team transition into the Overwatch League as a group or individually - with or without us. Their future is first priority when making any decisions like this. During this process it became clear to the team and us that having the complete roster transfer into the OWL together was unrealistic.
It's with that realization that we formally announce the players ability to seek other opportunities. We will continue to support and pay the players to make their transition as easy as possible. We want our fans to know that as a team and organization working together we did our best to make you proud with quality gameplay, and never stopped believing.
We have not ruled out the possibility of buying a contenders spot, or competing in third party tournaments and replacing any player that departs, with up and coming talent.
We hope that you will follow LG and the players on their respective next chapters.
