Terry Alderton: All Crazy Now

I was expecting surreal, but this takes things to a whole new level.

An announcement is made; "Terry has lost himself so will no longer be appearing this evening". A support band is then quickly drafted in, one half of whom looks a lot like Alderton.

They go on to play some of the most obscure stuff I have ever heard which was funny in parts, but so strange.

Alderton eventually enters the stage as himself and goes through a decent set of material, the problem is that it's all too familiar. Don't get me wrong, some of his antics are side-splittingly funny, but when it's your fourth time watching the same routine it does start to lose its appeal.

The show feels very disjointed and thrown together. It doesn't really fit or flow well; Alderton builds atmosphere only then to lose it seconds later.

I'm glad that I attended, just disappointed that it didn't offer more.
