Iain Stirling: U OK Hun x #edfring review #edinburgh

Another fine show from Edinburgh's own. No real theme to this latest show, more of a catch up of what has happened in his life over the last 12 months.

He has plenty of tales to tell; his obvious new found fame as the voice of the nation's new favourite TV show is a hot topic and Iain does well to appease the many who've flocked here to see him for that reason.

Once that's out of the way he then breaks into routines about his home city and how getting older has not only changed him, but his many friends too; this lovely bit of observational comedy has the crowd roaring with laughter.

To close he tells a very funny tale about a failed TV pilot which is met by much laughter and applause.

Iain showed his real skill when interacting with the audience. In fact, some of the unscripted stuff had the biggest laughs of the night and it really showed what a talent he is. He is far more than just a voiceover from TV, and this show proves that.

Some material definitely needs rejigged or possibly dropped altogether, but overall it's a good hour of comedy from a very good comedian.
