More info on the memory-related crash on Xbox:
We have identified the source of the memory crash on Xbox. In attempts to improve the visual quality of creatures on console, the console is now unfortunately running out of memory. In areas where lots of dinos are grouped together (ie. large bases, caves), the console would crash back to dashboard.
We are currently further diagnosing the best response to this problem. We would obviously like to continue to visually improve ARKs creatures, but cannot do so at the expense of memory. We are doing some LOD (level of design) changes on creatures to hopefully find a happy middle ground between quality and functionality. Visually this could mean that it takes creature textures longer to load in than previous when entering an area with a large amount of creatures, but overall should still look better.
I'll continue to update you all on the situation when I have more information.
