To my U.K. Audience. You lot make up a good 20% of my subscribers and most of you are between 18-35 years old. There's a stigma that younger people don't vote and there's some statistical truth to that. Often hard to get enthusiastic about the agendas of people twice your age who you don't think fully represent you. Despite that, change comes from those who bother to show up. There is never a perfect candidate, never someone who represents you 100%, but as we have seen, they're not equally bad, they're not all the same and yes, hell yes it can get worse. Idealism is awesome, hold onto that for as long as you can, but pragmatism is what gets ideas turned into reality and that means showing up and speaking up. That means participating in a broken political system with a view to fixing it later rather than just giving up on it. If you don't speak up, you allow others to speak for you and you make not like what they have to say. Please, go out and vote today. 'I tried' beats 'I didn't bother'.
