TakeTV & NA Contenders

Firstly I'd like to say thanks to everyone who attended the TakeTV Overwatch event, it was great meeting everyone, and you all made it awesome! Secondly I'd like to thank TakeTV for inviting us and letting us use their facilities and working their schedule around us, letting us participate in the NA Overwatch Contenders from their bootcamp area - we are truly grateful!

As for the TakeTV LAN, I feel somewhat happy with our performance. Our very first game against Riders ended 0-4, but I felt like we could have snatched a map or two, had our focus been better. Next was our series against Misfits which ended 3-1. I feel like we really came together as a team, and I felt like I specifically came alive the last two games in that series. Last game in groups was against Cloud9. The series ended 2-2. Cloud9 was physically struggling from jetlag/exhaustion, but I still feel like it was a good and close series.

As for Contenders, it obviously wasn't the ideal situation for us. We tried making a run for the first qualifier, winning our first 3 games convincingly, but then our TakeTV playoff match came up. We asked the team we were supposed to face if they wanted to wait, but they declined, and we ended up being disqualified. Which brought us to sunday, having to try again.
Our first game was around 6pm, and because of wait time + the amount of games we had to play, we ended at around 5am. We lost our semi-finals match against Toronto Esports, a match I'm confident we could have taken, had our conditions been better. I was super exhausted and didn't perform particularly well. We ended up qualifying, which is the important part anyway.

I feel sad that we had to miss out on the semi-finals/finals of TakeTV and the afterparty. Huge congratz to Rogue for taking the trophy! The event truly had a magical atmosphere, and I felt super sad that we couldn't attend the last couple of hours of it.

A big shoutout to the casters as well! You are all dank dudes, and I'd love to see you guys at the next event, whatever that may be. <3
