Opinion on HGG system
The HGG vote was flawed on multiple levels, I'm sure anything I say will be put aside as salt but I've told ppl at pax already that I expect the results that happened and got confirmation a couple days ago as blizzard leaked the german results to other players at bahamas, so this isn't really news.
Anyway, having only the respective countries able to vote is obviously favoring native speaking streamers, which is fine by itself as they are supposed to represent their country, not have the biggest global following, but combined with the next point this is a huge issue.
Only giving people 1 vote. I remember when voting class representatives in school 15 years ago we got to chose 2 people, as in the end 2 people would win. I expected this to be the norm for votes and was very disappointed when they announced it wasn't. SuperJJ could've been the 2nd most popular player on the vote and still would never make it as his followingbase is identical with lifecoaches so they will all vote for coach instead. I heard in other regions rather unknown girl streamers made it, which isn't surprising since the most known competitive player will get vast majority of people interested in competitive scene and the others will get close to 0, while small streamers will atleast get all of their following to vote for them.
Lastly, blizzard changing the messages people wrote to promote themself without notice might not be too big of a deal, but I'm rather salty they made my self ironic statement into a pretty narcissistic one and added grammatic errors to it xd
For everyone who missed me past weeks, I'm currently focusing on other things than actual gameplay, will return to full force with next expansion (aprox. april 6). Have some cool stuff coming up I am really excited for and the expansion looks promising so far. Teasers from resent expansions didn't really excite me, so I don't think it's the "always saying next expansion will be bettet"-thing, I actually believe this one may be :^ )
