My take on the #KarankOut campaign @karanka @untypicalboro @nmaddo #borolive

An all too familiar feeling leaving Selhurst Park yesterday. Another 1-0 defeat in a game where we didn’t even look like scoring. The talk of Karanka Out continues to grow and performances like yesterday will only add fuel to the fire.

Something needs to change if we are to stay up, 4 wins in 26 and 19 goals all season is relegation material. We recruited well in the summer but let ourselves down in January, every Boro fan knew we needed more firepower if we were to kick on. The reality is we’re in for one hell of a relegation dogfight and no doubt we’ll have to get something at Anfield on the final day of the season to guarantee safety.

In the meantime, I think it’s important to ignore the Karanka Out bandwagon and get behind the team. The negativity from the terraces filters down to the pitch and nothing positive can come of it. Karanka has revolutionised this club and has done some wonderful things in his tenure; a play-off final, some bloody good cup games and automatic promotion to the Premier League after a long SEVEN YEAR absence. He inherited a team where Curtis Main was our main striker and today we have the likes of Alvaro Negredo leading the line, not to mention Victor Valdes in goal.

I’ve always said, if we are to go down, then so be it. There is no other manager in the world I would rather manage Boro in the Championship than Aitor Karanka. Until then, play two up front, start Traore and attack from the very first whistle!

...Roll on Leo's post match chest bumps at Anfield.
