my take on how to have 0 nerves

play more

seriously, play more is the answer, but it is actually not very informative on how to get better by playing more

this will most likely not work for you as it is my method of how to combat nerves all togethter

the main problems with having nerves is your mindset and though processes

so first off is your mindset, your standards are the number one reason why you choke, or get nerves. take this for example, you get nervous once you fc a harder map or getting a pp milestone but not for fcing a really easy map for you, because why?
because it is not up to your standards
another problem with getting nervous is your thought process such as, "holy shit im gonna fc" or "holy fuck this is out of my skill range" or "dude this is gonna be so impressive cus noones done this before"
really the only way to not get nervous is simply not give a fuck, but its actually not simple to achieve at all, without taking a lot of time

how do you really change your mindset/ thought process?
what about the shakiness that you get?

a good way to deal with your shakiness is once you get a good play, try your best to not think about how much pp or how much attention you're going to get, also try to play another map with all the excitement you have achieved from the nerves instantly, so you get used to adrenaline and shaky hands; this will help you improve consistency with nerves but not exactly help remove them

to remove nerves, you have to set your standards really high and mean it, as well as playing for your own accomplishments as well as fun.
some people like to play for #1s as well as others playing rabbit jumps and they seemingly dont have nerves, because they are having fun for themselves, not having fun for attention or anything if that makes any sense, as well as having done it so many times there really isnt a big accomplishment about it

back to the first example, setting your standards really high allows you to not really care about your fcs, such as my "fc" on uta. i wanted 99.5% or higher and if i didnt im like "meh its not up to my standards, nor is it a good play in my own eyes"
another example is my big black fc, i set my standards to be SS or its shit, and that way i didnt really care if i choked if i did not have an ss

one last way to help you deal with nerves is achieve acceptance

if you're one of the people who choke a lot, but have consistency to get to the end, you might find out you get pretty excited the first few times and in the last few times before you fc you accept that you may choke and really have no other thought process. this is really a helpful way to beat nerves; acceptance that you may not fc and do not expect anything out of it, and accepting the fact that though it may be a good run or better run than others, you can get there again even higher, setting your standards beyond what you have

basically if you dont like text walls or some shit (because i also dont)

-play straight after you fc something to help improve shaky aim
-set your standards and goals to something beyond your current ability to do so
-accept that you will probably not fc the map and you will probably get it later when you're much better

warning: you will probably feel empty inside because your accomplishments you achieve arent even close to your standards so its like rip any excitement you get from anything lol
