151013 - bigbang concert in toronto
tuesday, october 13, 2015.
today was the day that bigbang would perform in canada for the first, and potentially last, time as a 5 membered group. i was fortunate enough to be able to attend this once in a lifetime concert with my siblings.
the show started at around 7pm however i arrived at the venue, the air canada centre, around 6pm in hopes of getting some merchandise. upon arrival, the line for merchandise were way too long, and the item that i was most looking forward to purchasing, the lightstick, were out of stock. i was a bit sad over the fact but i didn't let it get to me. i headed out to my seats with my sister while my brother went to buy a beer from one of the venue booths.
when i got to my seat, there were still a bit of time before the show started. many bigbang music videos (mostly from the M.A.D.E series) were being played on the big screen. as fans usually do, many people sang along, screamed, and wove their lightsticks. then, the venue went dark. the show was about to begin
they started off the show with "bang bang bang" from the "A" addition of the M.A.D.E series. of course, knowing bigbang, they would have to start off the show with a big bang. they got the audience hyped and excited, i almost saw no one in their seats. everyone was jumping along and having the time of their lives.
during the show, they sang all of their songs from the M.A.D.E series, as well as some other title songs such as tonight, haru haru, blue, lies, and the legendary fantastic baby. they also performed solo/unit songs as well. seungri performed "strong baby", daesung performed "wings", taeyang performed "eyes nose lips", gdragon performed "crooked" and top performed "doom dada". gd&top performed "zutter", and taeyang/gd performed "good boy".
bigbang had really made my first concert a great experience. for me to be able to attend my first concert, and for it to be bigbang, the band that got me into kpop about 8 years ago, was a really special moment for me. i will never forget this experience and i would like to thank bigbang and yg for coming to toronto for a show.
i really hope i'll be able to see them perform in concert again soon, whether it be as a group, or even as a partial group. i will support them for as long as i can, and i will never stop being a vip.
