Removing MLC

So as most of you have probably seen by now, we (Team Allegiance) have decided to kick MLCSt3alth heading into S4. With both the team and MLC himself having a large following we are releasing this twitlonger to clear up some confusion and answer some of the questions people may have.

Let me preface all of this by also saying that the four of Oceans, Weak3n, Cyclone, and myself all agreed that whether we stay together or not, whatever roster we choose to play with at the start of Season 4 we would like to keep together until the end of S4 SWC. The decision came down to multiple factors, with the main two being in game attitude and views on how the game should be played.

With that being said, we found that MLC's attitude in game was consistently detrimental to our team environment. After forming the team for the gauntlet, scrims went pretty smooth and we enjoyed each other's company. It wasn't until preparation for Regionals where we had to experience St3alth's passive aggressiveness which a large majority of his past teammates warned us of. Whenever we scrimmed Luminosity, St3alth would routinely call out people in a manner that isn't helpful for any misplays they made and this made all of us really hate the scrim environment. He would even say things such as "BaRRaCCuDDa is just doing so much more than Oceans. If we want to win then you just need to do what he is doing." From our perspective it gave off the feeling that he never really got over being kicked from C9 and would constantly give passive aggressive criticism rather than give actual input on how things could be improved. Against that team specifically, our issues with him would be most highlighted as he would play to give off a good impression rather than to be a team player it seemed. At the end of every game he looked at two stats: the level of the other mid laner, and how much player damage he did. In his mind if he did more damage than the other mid laner and was a higher level, he played the game near perfectly and a loss couldn't be his fault. This value on stats lead to consistently selfish play which often lead to teamfights being lost because he wouldn't put damage onto targets that we could kill, and would rather use his cooldowns on whoever was in his face as often as possible because that added up to more damage. This was also represented in his playstyle as he consistently zoned both Weak3n and myself from mid waves even while being told it was a problem and it often put us far behind. This issue also carried over into teamfights as he would not put damage onto carries because he'd be too scared to push up and die because it hurt his slash line.
You can see this mindset here:

The other main issue we felt was a lack of understanding everyone else's roles. He would often say things such as, "Every game their adc goes to gold fury, pulls the gold fury, tells the solo laner to teleport to the gold fury to hog it, and they just get gold for free. I don't get why we aren't doing that." It should go without saying that this just isn't how the game works, these plays were being made because teams would either already have a lead or would have lane pressure in both duo and mid lane which allows for you to group for gold furies more proactively. It just felt as though MLC would look at everyone but himself and that type of attitude is never productive for a team trying to improve in the long term. Even if he made a blatant mechanical or positioning error it was near impossible to bring it up without deflection. This was just not something we wanted to be a part of the team in the long term as scrims are for improvement not for winning or losing, and we didn't feel MLC was on that same page.

The main reason for posting this aside from explaining our perspective is to point out some of the (what should be obvious) actions MLC has done to sway the public in his favor and it often comes off as disrespectful to his teammates. At some point it just gets to where it is beyond repair and really rubs you the wrong way, especially when your entire team knows you asked LG for a mid tryout and then tweet this: https://twitter.com/MLC__st3alth/status/817555418654404609

People will probably hate us for this, but as a team we just feel some things just should be said and made public knowledge.
